Welcome, Introduction and Call to Worship

When we feel displaced and discouraged

God is there

In the silence and the solitude

God is there

In the chaos, the calm and everywhere in between

God is there

We are never alone,

for God our refuge and our strength is there.

Encouraging us,

Sustaining us,

Watching us.

Glasgow Close Knit

Lorna Morrison has received an email from Deacon Claire Herbert at LHM as follows –

‘Please do thank everyone at Cambuslang for their support and handiwork. This project has been a real blessing to those involved and we trust it will bless those who visit the exhibitions too. By Christmas the blankets will be distributed and be the greatest blessing to the men and women at LHM.

Please do invite the congregation to pop down after worship on Sunday to take a look at this launch event on Glasgow Green and offer their support to the Glasgow Close Knit Project. We are only there for one day 10am – about 4pm. Anyone who is able can pop over and get a photo to share with the congregation. We are located to the left hand side of the Peoples Palace and next to the walkway for those concerned about going over the grass areas.’

PLEASE NOTE:

With the weather forecast now warning of heavy rain showers expected on Sunday afternoon, we have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel the ‘Glasgow Close Knit’ exhibition of blankets at Glasgow Green on 22nd June. Apologies to everyone who was looking forward to coming along.

There will be more information to follow about the next exhibition…

The funeral of Mrs Georgie Thom will take place on Thursday 26th June at 11am in the church and 12 noon at Daldowie Crematorium.

Holiday Club

Our holiday club was fully booked within hours of it going online. HELP NEEDED: What we REALLY need is people to help in various roles. If you can help, please speak to Karen Hamilton or Susan Young. We need to know this ASAP as if you are not Disclosed, we will need to do that quickly.

Play Bags

A few bags hanging in the vestibule are available for parents to use during services. You are welcome to take one to use with your child during the service. Please return it to the vestibule after the service.

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the welcome area, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you.

‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.‘ (Jeremiah 29.12).

Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to our Halls Convenor Derek Burns: derekburnscpc@gmail.com
