Sunday Club: Children age 3 and up are invited to join us in the halls following the Children’s Time or are welcome to stay in church during the service. We also have a crèche room available.

The Lord’s Prayer: The Kirk Session have agreed to a slight amendment to the version of the Lord’s Prayer we use in our services to bring it into line with the most widely used modern version of the prayer (and as it appears in the Church of Scotland’s Book of Common Order). This will simply involve us saying ‘on earth as in heaven’ in place of ‘on earth as it is in heaven’. This very small change will be introduced from the beginning of November and for a few weeks the amended version will appear in print on the Order of Service.

The Neighbourly will meet on Wednesday 30th October at 2.15 pm in the Small Hall. The speaker will be Mr Frank Roy. All welcome.

Walking Group: our Annual Mystery walk will take place on Saturday 2 November. The walk is almost completely flat however it may be a bit muddy in places. It is approximately 4 miles long. This walk should take no more than 2 hours and as we intend to be back by lunchtime there is no need to bring a packed lunch. Those interested in going on this walk should meet at the church at 9:00 am, travel will be in shared cars.

Remembrance Service: Sunday 10th November 2024 – Poppies and wooden crosses will be available today in the welcome area for a donation to Poppy Scotland. They will also be available on 3rd and 10th November.

ITS PANTO TIME – oh yes, it is!!!!! Theatre South Productions present “Sleeping Beauty – a family pantomime: Tuesday 3rd December to Friday 6th December at 7pm, and on Saturday there are three performances – at 11am is a ASN friendly performance. There is a matinee at 2:30pm and evening performance at 7:30pm. Tickets are available NOW via www.Seaty.co.uk/tspsleepingbeauty

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the welcome area, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you. ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).

Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to our Halls Convenor Derek Burns: moc.liamgnull@cpcsnrubkered
