Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time – all children welcome! If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available.
Annual Congregational Meeting – This will be held on Sunday 21st April after the service. This is an important meeting where the finances of our church will be discussed & perhaps other matters. It is hoped that many of the congregation will attend. Copies of the accounts are available on the church vestibule table.
Raspberry Jam for sale – Jam made from an excess of berries at Meet & 2 veg is available for sale in aid of church funds in the large hall after the service, priced £1 for small jars & £1.50 for large ones.
The ‘Churches Group’ Men’s breakfast –Saturday 13 April, at Wetherspoons in Cambuslang. We start at 8.30-8.45am, each person orders and pays for their own breakfast. We eat, drink and chat till around 9.30-10am. No booking needed. All are welcome.
The Southside Showcase – Join us for a song at our spring fundraising concert on Monday 15 April at 8pm in the Church Hall. Tickets £5. Proceeds go to Scottish Action for Mental Health.
The Rutherglen & Cambuslang Foodbank AGM will be held in the United Reformed Church, 69 Johnstone Drive, Rutherglen, G73 2QA on Thursday 25 April 2024 at 7pm.Everyone welcome.
Plant Sale and Coffee Morning: The Fundraising Committee are delighted to announce that our Plant Sale and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday 11 May from 10am onward.
We are looking for waiters and waitresses. Can you spare an hour of your time between 9am and 1pm to assist with the Coffee Morning? If so, please speak to one of our team: Ohna Robertson, Janet Stewart, Tony Neeson.
The ladies who organise the Coffee Morning will be very grateful!
Another date for May: Afternoon tea for Christian Aid on Saturday 18 May at 2-4pm.
This is a great opportunity to meet up with friends and make new ones while supporting a very worthwhile cause. This year Christian Aid is concentrating on ‘Act on Poverty’ Put the date in your diary.
Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are tinned vegetables, tinned soup, tinned meat, UHT milk, coffee and tinned tomatoes.
