Setting apart as reader: We are delighted that one of our members, Graham Macgregor, has qualified as a Reader of the Church of Scotland. This comes at the end of a number of years of theological study and practical training. The Presbytery of Glasgow will hold a service to Set Apart Graham on Thursday 24 August at 7pm, here at Cambuslang Parish Church. Please do come along and help celebrate with Graham! If you wish to attend the tea and buffet afterwards, please let us know to help us with catering arrangements- sign-up sheets are available in the welcome area.

Reachout Trust are hoping to have an SU gap year placed with them this year. It has been 4 years since our last gap year left. Over the years SU gap year have been a great asset to the work of the trust and have also supported the work of local churches too. We are excited to hopefully have someone join us this year and look forward to seeing how God will work through and in this young person throughout the year. This year’s student will hopefully join us at the beginning of September and be with us until August next year.  We are therefore looking for someone who would be willing to host them for the year. The host family would receive a small amount of money to help with extra costs they would incur, from SU. Further information available from Karen Hamilton.

Bridgeton St Francis in the East (26 Queen Mary St, G40 3BB) will be celebrating its 150th anniversary on Sunday, 3 September and there will be a special service at 11am that day to mark the occasion. Everyone welcome.
