Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time- all children welcome if they wish. If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available. We are also in need of a few more adult helpers. Please speak to Peter or Karen if you can help!

Easter Sunday Breakfast: We hope that you will be able to join us for breakfast in the church following the service in the park. To assist us with catering please add your name to the sign-up sheets which will be available in the welcome area and the large hall this week and next week.

Boiled egg decoration competition: On Easter Sunday there will be a competition for EVERY age group. Under 5’s. P1-3, P4-6, P7-secondery age and adults. Get your thinking caps on, it has to be a Holy week/ Easter theme. Eggs can be delivered to the Church on Saturday 8 April 10-11am or before 10.15am on Sunday 9 April when the judging will commence. Prize for each age group.

Seniors Communion Service A special Communion for “senior” members and friends of the Cambuslang Parish Church will be held on Thursday, 27th April 2023 at 2.00pm. Tea, coffee and delicious homemade scones, pancakes etc will be served in the hall after the service. Due to the cost of postage, we regret that invitations will not be posted out for this, or future events organised by the Pastoral Care Team. Invitations have been inserted into today’s bulletin and will be in the bulletin next Sunday also. However, if anyone knows of someone who would like to attend this service, more invitations are available in the Welcome Area. Your help in passing on invitations to others would be much appreciated. Completed tear-off slips attached to invitations can be handed to any member of the Pastoral Care Team, sent into the Church Office or dropped into the box in the Welcome Area marked “Pastoral Care Team Seniors’ Communion” by Sunday 23rd April. 40 day Easter Egg challenge: The Lodging House Mission has launched an appeal for Easter Eggs for their service users and for men and women who are living in hostels in our city. The LHM brings Christian hope and support to some of the most vulnerable people who live precarious lives on the streets. Any size egg would be welcomed. Hilary Mcdougall will collect the eggs and pass them on to the Chaplain at the LHM. Please deliver them by this coming Tuesday. Thank you!

Easter Holiday Club: Looking for something for the children during the Easter holidays? Reachout trust are holding an Easter Holiday Club on 3-4 April in Flemington Hallside Church from 9.30am-4.30pm. There will be outdoor games, crafts and stories. Snacks and lunch will be provided. The ‘Churches Group’ Men’s breakfast –Saturday 8 April, at Wetherspoons in Cambuslang. We start at 8.30-8.45am, each person orders and pays for their own breakfast. We eat, drink and chat till around 9.30-10am. All are welcome.

Plant Sale: The Fundraising Group will be holding a plant sale again this year on Saturday 13 May from 10am until 1pm.
In addition to the plants there will be other activities (particularly suitable for children) organised by the Scouts. More details will follow but meantime please put the date in your diary!

Happy Church family news: Congratulations to Walter and Georgina Simpson who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Friday. They became members of St. Andrew’s Parish Church in January 1953 and were married on 31 March 1953 by the Reverend Robert B. Kincaid. As God has blessed their 50 years together, we pray that those blessings will continue in the years to come.

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the main door entrance, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you. ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).
