Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time- all children welcome if they wish. If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available.

Flowers to Decorate the Cross: It has become a tradition in our Church to decorate the Cross for Easter Sunday. Everyone has been given a flower and we ask that you write on the green leaf:

  • the name of a person who needs prayer or
  • a concern for the World

We will collect your flower at the end of the service and they will be used to transform the Cross for Easter Sunday. Thank you- Worship Committee.

The Guild will be holding their annual Daffodil Tea on Monday 27 March at 2pm. There will be a Bring and Buy and a Craft stall plus a Jewellery stall [new and keenly priced items] as well as a Raffle. Afternoon Tea will be served. Tickets are now on sale priced £5.00.

40 day Easter Egg challenge: The Lodging House Mission has launched an appeal for Easter Eggs for their service users and for men and women who are living in hostels in our city. The LHM brings Christian hope and support to some of the most vulnerable people who live precarious lives on the streets. As we anticipate Easter and the joy of the resurrection can we bring hope and joy to those who are struggling? Can we collect 40 Easter Eggs to donate to the LHM in time for Easter? Any size egg would be welcomed. Hilary Mcdougall will collect the eggs and pass them on to the Chaplain at the LHM. Thank you!

Flowers in the church: The Flower Team would like to thank everyone who has donated Flowers each Sunday over the years. Flowers enhance the beauty of the Church and bring pleasure to those who receive them after worship. There are a few vacant Sundays and if you feel able to contribute to our flower donations please speak to Mrs Anne Boyd.  Thank you.

Easter Holiday Club: Looking for something for the children during the Easter holidays? Reachout trust are holding an Easter Holiday Club on 3-4 April in Flemington Hallside Church from 9.30am-4.30pm. There will be outdoor games, crafts and stories. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Please check the order form to ensure you have ordered what you require. Payment should be made either this week or next week. Thank you.

Easter Sunday Breakfast: We hope that you will be able to join us for breakfast in the church following the service in the park. To assist us with catering please add your name to the sign-up sheets which will be available in the welcome area and the large hall this week and next week.

Boiled egg decoration competition: On Easter Sunday there will be a competition for EVERY age group, so get your thinking caps on. It has to be a Holy Week/ Easter theme. Prizes for each age group. More details will follow.

Tea, coffee and delicious homemade scones, pancakes etc will be served in the hall after the service. Due to the cost of postage, we regret that invitations will not be posted out for this, or future events organised by the Pastoral Care Team. Invitations have been inserted into today’s bulletin and will be in the bulletin next Sunday also. However, if anyone knows of someone who would like to attend this service, more invitations are available in the Welcome Area. Your help in passing on invitations to others would be much appreciated. Completed tear-off slips attached to invitations can be handed to any member of the Pastoral Care Team, sent into the Church Office or dropped into the box in the Welcome Area marked “Pastoral Care Team Seniors’ Communion” by Sunday 23rd April. For more information, please call the Church Office.

Those interested in going should meet outside the Church at 8:30 am, travel is in shared cars.
