Our mission statement:

We are a warm and welcoming church

who seek to help all people experience and share

the love and teachings of Jesus Christ

in our worship and community involvement.

We affirm the dignity of all people

through compassion and kindness.

Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!

Communion and Afternoon Tea:  You are invited to a Service of Holy Communion on Tuesday 16th June at 2pm followed by afternoon tea in the Large Hall. This service is open to all and arrangements will be made to provide an opportunity for those who might not otherwise be easily able to attend worship, to be welcomed and included for communion and fellowship. For catering purposes, it would be helpful if you would advise us if you were able to join us and also let us know if you require transport.

Walking Group: Our next evening walk will take place on Tuesday 16th June.  This walk is at Strathclyde park.  The route takes us through a wooded area then up one side of the South Calder Water and back down the other side, a distance of 4 miles.  Those interested in going should meet outside the Church at 6:30 pm, travel to the park is in shared cars.

Stated Annual Meeting: The Stated Annual Meeting of the congregation will take place immediately following morning worship on Sunday 21st June. At this meeting, the accounts for 2025 will be presented.  Copies of the accounts are available today for anyone who wishes them.

Liz Kershaws Funeral: Will be held on Monday 22nd June at 11am in the church, thereafter to South Lanarkshire Crematorium at 12noon.

Flower Power: The theme of the Summer services this year, is ‘Gardens of the Bible’. We will be decorating our worship space with flowers and garlands and are looking for any artificial flowers [preferably not plastic] which you might have at home and which are no longer in use. If you are happy to donate these, please let Hilary know. Thank you!

Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: UHT Milk, Diluting Juice, Dried Lentils, Custard, Tinned Fruit, Macaroni Cheese, Beans and Sausage, Sugar, Washing Powder, Shampoo, Deodorants, Shaving Foam.

Prayer Tree: The congregational Prayer Tree is available in the Welcome Area, along with tags on which names can be written of any for whom prayers are sought. Names on the Prayer Tree will normally be included by the Ministry Team in prayers offered in worship at the Sunday Service and Tuesday Service. It is the normal practice of the Ministry Team to include first names only to help preserve appropriate anonymity.

If you place a prayer request on the Prayer Tree can you also please remove that tag when prayer is no longer required. Thank you.
