Welcome, Introduction and Call to Worship
O God, you summons the day to dawn
you teach the morning to waken the earth
Great is your Name
Great is your love
For you the valleys will sing for joy
the trees of the field shall clap their hands
Great is your Name
Great is your love
To you the monarchs of the earth shall bow
The poor and the persecuted shall shout for joy
Great is your Name
Great is your love
Your love and justice will last forever
fresh as the morning, sure as the sunrise
Great is your Name
Great is your love

Sunday Club: Children age 3 and up are invited to join us in the halls following the Children’s Time or are welcome to stay in church during the service. We also have a crèche room available.
The Neighbourly will meet on Wednesday 29nd January at 2.15pm in the Small Hall when the speaker will be Dr David Porter. All welcome.
Walking Group: The next walk will take place on Saturday 1st February. The walk will commence at Crossford a small village on the river Clyde (parking arrangements to be decided on the day) and will continue along the banks of the river to Kirkfieldbank. The walk will include a gentle climb up to the village of Nemphlar followed by a lunch stop at Kirkfieldbank bridge and then progressing back down the river side to return to Crossford. The distance is 6-7miles. The walk in the main is via wooded areas and flat. Travel will be in shared cars, those interested in going should meet outside the Church at 8:30.
Monthly Celebration of Communion: Following a decision of the Kirk Session, there will now be the opportunity to celebrate Holy Communion immediately following the morning service on the first Sunday of those months when there is not already a communion at the main service (excluding July, August, and January). The first of these communion services after morning service will be next Sunday, 2nd February. These short and simple celebrations of Communion are open to all. Those wishing to attend are invited to proceed to the front pews of the church after the main service is concluded.
The new Bible study group “Bible Blethers” will commence on Wednesday, 5th February at 10am in the Morriston Room. We will initially be watching “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Shadowlands” both written by C.S. Lewis. The group will meet fortnightly with the option to meet weekly during Lent.
The Prayer Tree is situated inside the welcome area, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you.
‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).
