For information on any items please contact the Church Office: 0141 642 9271 (Thursdays 10m-4pm)

Dear friends.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  However, your minister, Peter Nimmo, is once again unwell.  He will be off work for the next couple of weeks in the first instance – his fit note runs until Thursday 21 September.  In the meantime, the Presbytery Clerk has invited me to serve as Interim Moderator.  I know – you get to put up with me once more!  I am grateful to Graham Macgregor, who has agreed to lead worship and preach on Sunday 10 September in Cambuslang Parish Church – therefore, I know you are in good hands.  Since Karen Hamilton is presently away at a conference, any pastoral requests should be directed to Ian Cathcart or myself in the first instance.  Furthermore, I will ensure that the Kirk Session meeting already scheduled for Tuesday 19 September goes ahead.  I’d appreciate if conveners of teams might submit relevant reports and motions to Scott Hamilton when available, and ahead of time for circulation.  My number is 07723 578 573 and my email is ku.gro.dnaltocsfohcruhcnull@sehguhd  I am always very happy to hear from you, and I will do my best to support you through this period.

Every blessing as we serve the Lord together.

Derek W. Hughes

Linda Wunsch  would like to thank everyone who came to her assistance last Sunday & for all the many calls, visits & messages she has received.   It’s good to belong to a caring church family.

Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time – all children welcome! If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available.

Tuesday Service: Please note there will be no Tuesday service this week.

Kirk Session will meet in the Morriston Room on Tuesday 19th September 2023 at 7.30p.m.

Country dancing  will start back on Thursday 5 October in the Kirkhill downstairs hall, 7.45-9.30pm. I’m looking forward to meeting new members for the first time.

The Arietta Choir will be performing in the Church on Saturday 30 September at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10. Refreshments will be available after the performance in the large hall. Tickets can be purchased from. Tony Neeson, Janet Stewart, Ohna Robertson, Alison Thomson and Bob McDougall. Monies raised from this event will go towards church funds.

Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: UHT milk, soup, tinned meat, tinned fruit and instant meals.

Karen Hamilton DCS is away to a Diaconate conference in Neuandlessau in Germany. She will be away from the 2-12 September. Not all of it is the conference, there will be a couple of days break in Munich.

Pastoral cover while Karen is away will be provided by Rev Ian Cathcart, 0141 641 1049.

Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to Bob McDougall
