Summer all-age services
Our theme this summer is “The Bible goes to Sea”.
Services will be shorter than usual, and suitable for all the family.
The upcoming themes will be:
July 30 Jesus walks on water: Matthew 14.22-34
August 6 Paul is shipwrecked: Acts 27 and 28

Remembrance Poppy Installation Project
Lorna Morrison would like to thank everyone who has donated plastic bottles for the Remembrance Poppy Installation Project. It was an overwhelming response. We now have enough bottles and ask that you STOP bringing them. Lorna has a pattern and wool for anyone that would like to knit poppies. Crochet poppies are also welcome. Dates to help paint poppies etc, using your time and talents will be announced after the summer. Any queries contact Lorna.
Mission Possible Conference
The Presbytery of Glasgow is holding a ‘Mission Possible’ conference at St Rollox Parish Church on 9 September from 10am – 3pm, with keynote speaker Martin Fair. Seminar streams will look at reaching out with our faith through missional listening, pioneering and planting, community development, health and wellbeing, and collaborative relationships. Reachout Trust – are hoping to have an SU gap year placed with them this year. It has been 4 years since our last gap year left. Over the years SU gap year have been a great asset to the work of the trust and have also supported the work of local churches too. We are excited to hopefully have someone join us this year and look forward to seeing how God will work through and in this young person throughout the year. This year’s student will hopefully join us at the beginning of September and be with us until August next year. We are therefore looking for someone who would be willing to host them for the year. The host family would receive a small amount of money to help with extra costs they would incur, from SU. Could you please let people in your congregations know about this need.
