Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time – all children welcome! If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available.

Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated next Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table. There will be a retiring offering for Christian Aid.

Kirk Session members please note that the envelopes for Communion and a letter to the congregation are in your pigeonholes today.

The Fellowship Team will meet on Wednesday 31 May at 7.30pm in the Morriston Room.

Walking Group: For our next walk on Saturday 3 June we shall be travelling through to Edinburgh and walking up Arthur’s Seat. It is a relatively easy walk from the bus station, via the Scottish Parliament building to the top of Arthur’s Seat and back. There are several paths leading to the summit and the plan is to walk up one way and down another. Should not take too long or be too strenuous but will be worth it for the views over Edinburgh and the surrounding areas from the summit.  Travel arrangements will be by bus to Edinburgh. The bus can be boarded at Old Edinburgh Road, at Swinton Road at 9.29am.  Buses are every 30 minutes.  Cars can be parked in the area across from the bus stop.  Please meet at the church at the usual time (8.30am).  Nigel and I will be carrying out a recce of the walk and transport arrangements on Tuesday 30 May so should you require any further information, please phone Alastair MacFarlane on 0977 419739 after that date.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Pastoral Visitors The Kirk Session has decided to strengthen our pastoral care by asking for volunteers to help us with pastoral visiting. Training will be given, including on Safeguarding. If you would like to be involved with this, please speak to Peter or Karen.

Exploring Faith? Thinking about joining the church? If you would like to know more about Christianity, please get in touch with our minister, Peter. He hopes to get a few people together to explore the Christian faith and whether they would like to become members of the church. It would also be nice to have a few people who are already members to come along to encourage the new folk! Contact Peter at 0141 586 2126 or email

Summer Outing: The Fellowship Team is planning an all-age summer outing to the newly re-opened David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre on Sunday 11 June after the morning service. The Centre has extensive grounds with walks, nature trails and children’s activities. There is also a café and gift shop, and an indoor space will be available if the weather is poor. You can bring your own picnic or have lunch in the café. Travel will be by train or car-share. If you would like to come, please add your name to the sign-up sheet available in the Welcome Area by Sunday 4 June. Entrance to the grounds is free, but there is a charge if you wish to visit the exhibition.

Seniors’ Visit to The Burrell Collection: The Pastoral Care Team will be arranging a visit by coach to the beautifully renovated Burrell Collection Museum in Pollok Park on Monday 19 June, leaving the church at 1.30pm and returning to the church about 5pm for a time of fellowship and a fish supper for everyone. You can visit the café in their own time and pay for their snack and tea or coffee.  Fish suppers free of charge. Invitation inside today’s Order of Service or pick up one for a friend from the tables in the Welcome Area. Please return reply slips by Sunday 11 June.

Meet & 2 Veg: We reached our one-year anniversary on 9 May. Our thanks go to all the volunteers who have picked up contributions form shops and supermarkets and helped with distribution. So far 27,560kg of food has been collected and distributed, leading to a saving of 88,191kg of CO2. We also regularly provide food for about 100 people each week. A big ‘thank you’ to Jane Bainbridge, who instigated the whole project. Special thanks to Bob McDougall and Tony Neeson who are constantly on hand. This venture has allowed our Church to reach out to the community and open our doors. Anyone with an hour or two to spare on a Monday or Wednesday evening to help with pick ups would be most welcome. Contact the Church Office.

Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: UHT milk, cereals, tinned meat, tinned fruit and sugar.

Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to moc.duolcinull@llaguodcm.bob.

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the main door entrance, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you. ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).

Katharina Nimmo will be delighted to receive your announcements by Tuesday at 6pm for inclusion in the Order of Service: ylimaf.omminnull@anirahtak
