A huge thanks to all who made our plant sale and coffee morning such a success last Saturday.
A special vote of thanks goes to Linda and Nigel Wunsch along with Brown’s Garden Centre in the Clyde valley, without whom our plant sale could not have happened. The role of honour includes:
- The Scouts, for helping to transport the plants
- Gouldings Garden Centre, for donating hanging baskets
- The Fellowship Team, for organising the coffee morning
- The ‘front of house’ team
- And all who came along and supported the event.
Meet & 2 veg A new Kirk Session project called ‘Meet & 2 veg’ is up and running on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 9.15-10pm. This enables surplus food from supermarkets to be distributed free of charge, from the church building to anyone in our community.
We are looking for volunteers to help collect items from Greggs in Western Rd and Tesco in Hamilton Rd between 8 15 – 8 45 pm and bring to the church building. If you can help, please contact Jan Ritchie 0141 583 2018.

Sunday Groups Celebration Sunday – 12th June
An Arts and Crafts exhibition will take place in the church halls in late October, over Friday evening and Saturday. You will be able to display your artistic talent for painting making crafts, cards etc to a wider audience.
As part of the exhibition, we will be organising an art competition for the children which will be arranged in age groups. We will invite the children to create an art work of their own choice over the summer holiday,(details to follow), so keep an eye on the church order of service for more details

Sunday 5th June – Communion. This service will be led by Rev Ruth Forsythe. Ruth lives in Carmyle and works for Glasgow Presbytery as the Spiritual Formation director.
The congregation has received an invitation from Rutherglen Orange and Purple District 20 to their church service at West and Wardlawhill Church on Sunday 29th may at 6.30pm.
The Reachout Trust are looking for someone to drive their minibus at their camp on Arran from 26th June-1st July. If your driving license qualifies you to drive a minibus and you have time to offer, please contact Greg Senior on 07837 193028
