Our mission statement:
We are a warm and welcoming church
who seek to help all people experience and share
the love and teachings of Jesus Christ
in our worship and community involvement.
We affirm the dignity of all people
through compassion and kindness.
Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!
The Presbytery is hosting a number of listening roadshows entitled A Season of Listening on Saturday mornings throughout September and October. The resulting discussions will help inform the Presbytery in shaping their Action Plan. It would be lovely if a few of us from CPC could manage along. Please speak to Graham Macgregor for further details.
Thanks be to God: Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Harvest service: Mike Gargrave for his ministry, the young people for being so willing to take part in the service, Anne Boyd and her team for decorating the Church, everyone who generously gave donations of items or monetary donations for Lodging House Mission. Thanks also to members of the BB who helped move donations from the sanctuary after the service. Three car loads of donations were gratefully accepted by Lodging House Mission on Monday morning- thanks to the drivers too.
