Invitation to the Table
HYMN 445 Alleluia, sing to Jesus!

Why do we eat this meal?
To remind us that Jesus died and rose from death
so that we are freed from sin
and share in God’s love.
Why do we eat bread?
Bread reminds us of the bread Jesus ate
in the upper room with his disciples.
When we break it we remember Jesus’ suffering.
We share it together and Jesus unites us in his love.
We remember and rejoice
Why do we drink wine together?
The wine reminds us of the wine Jesus drank
in the upper room with his disciples.
When we pour it out it reminds us
that Jesus gave his life for us.
Drinking together shows that we are one in Jesus.
We drink and Jesus makes us glad.
We remember and rejoice
On the night Jesus was betrayed he took bread, he gave thanks;
he broke it, and gave it to his disciples saying: “Take eat, this is
my body broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” He
also took the cup, he gave thanks and gave it to them saying:
“drink of it all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant,
which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
We remember his death,
we live by his presence;
we wait for his coming.
COMMUNION
HYMN 459 Crown him with many crowns
Benediction

Walking Group: Our next walk will take place on Saturday 7th June. This is a circular walk starting and ending at the Church. The walk is along the Clyde walkway then through Westburn, Drumsagard and finally circling back via Cairns. In total the walk is 4 – 5 miles. Those interested in going should meet outside the Church at 9:30. The walk should take 2.5 – 3 hours and as we will be back by lunchtime there is no need to bring any lunch.
Sunday 8th June – Pentecost: Next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday when we remember that the Holy Spirit came upon the first disciples accompanied by the symbols of flames and wind. To celebrate this, the congregation are invited to wear ‘flame’ colours to church next week – red, orange, yellow, so that we will all appear to be ‘aflame for God’!
Sunday 15th June – Celebration Sunday: The following Sunday (two weeks today) as well as being Father’s Day(!) we will have the opportunity as a congregation to celebrate together, as the Sunday Club ends, as presentations are made, as achievements are celebrated, and as we thank God for one another, and for what we have enjoyed and achieved together. A lunch will be served following the service on 15th June.
Reachout Trust: From September, Reachout is going to be blessed with another SU Gap Year, Jenna. To enable Jenna to carry out her Gap year they need to find her accommodation locally. If this is something you could offer, please contact rossm.crrt@outlook.com, Also see poster on the notice board for further information.
Artwork for the Courtyard Garden: We are replacing the knitting which was attached to the netting in the courtyard. The knitting was wonderful but had reached the end of its time. We are calling on all youth organisations and anyone who would like to have a go, to draw or paint a picture on A4 size paper. These will be laminated and hung on the netting in the courtyard. Pictures can be handed in to a folder which will be in the welcome area. We are looking forward to seeing some great pictures. Animals, plants, trees etc would look great.
Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: Diluting Juice, Rice, Sugar, Tinned Fish, Tinned Tomatoes, UHT Milk, Soup, Pasta Sauce, Washing Powder, Toiletries.
The Prayer Tree is situated inside the welcome area, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you. ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).
Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to our Halls Convenor Derek Burns: derekburnscpc@gmail.com
