Sunday Club for children aged 3 years old to Primary 7 meets in our halls following the Children’s Time – all children welcome! If you have younger children, feel free to stay in church with them, but if you need to leave, the Welcome Area at the main door is available.
Men’s Breakfast: The ‘Churches Group’ Men’s breakfast, 2nd Saturday of each month, is at Wetherspoons on Saturday 11 May at 8.30am. No booking, just turn up, put your order in, pay for your own and enjoy.
Plant Sale and Coffee Morning: The Fundraising Committee are delighted to announce that our Plant Sale and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday 11 May from 10am onward.
Death Café: As part of “demystifying death week”, a café will be held in our small hall on Sunday 12 May, 2-4pm. The café welcomes anyone interested in exploring issues related to death. For further details see poster on notice board or call Jenny Watt 07412 943169
Another date for May: Afternoon tea for Christian Aid on Saturday 18 May at 2-4pm. This is a great opportunity to meet up with friends and make new ones while supporting a very worthwhile cause. This year Christian Aid is concentrating on ‘Act on Poverty’ Put the date in your diary.
Girls’ Brigade: The annual Girls’ Brigade parents night will take place on Monday 20 May at 7 pm in the large hall. Family and friends are all welcome.
School workshops: Karen is at General Assembly this year. Unfortunately, it means she cannot do “It’s your move” & buddy training on 23 May. We need 1 person for “It’s your move” (P7s transitioning) in the morning & 2 or 3 folk for buddy training in the afternoon. Can you do both parts or just either the morning or afternoon session? Please speak to Karen.
Holiday Club: It is being held on 6 & 7 August in Cambuslang Parish church . Can you help with a group or make the sandwiches for lunch. This is very popular club so be you a teenager or “slightly older” ???? we need your help.
If you are not disclosed or want further information about HC please speak to Karen or Susan.
Order of service: It would be great if someone was able to take over collating the announcements for the order of service. If you’re able to help, please get in touch with Katharina or Linda.
Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: tinned soup, pasta sauce, rice pudding, jam, sugar.

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the main door entrance, for anyone in the church and community who wishes to add a prayer to it. You can write your prayer on one of the supplied labels, and either put it on the tree or into the prayer box. The ministry team will look at the prayers regularly and pray for you. ‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’ (Jeremiah 29.12).
