Funeral notices:
Robert Turnbull – the funeral of the late Mr Robert Turnbull will take place on Thursday 28 December at 10am at South Lanarkshire Crematorium and will be conducted by Rev Ian Cathcart.
Ian Bowman [son of the late Betty Bowman]. The funeral of the late Mr Ian Bowman will take place on Friday 29 December at 11am in the church and then at Westburn Cemetery at 12 noon and will be conducted by Rev Hilary McDougall.
Elizabeth [Liz] Harbinson – the funeral of the late Mrs Liz Harbinson will take place on Wednesday 3 January at 11am in the church and then 12 noon at South Lanarkshire crematorium. Liz’s funeral will be conducted by Rev Derek Hughes.
Attention all Fellowship Tea Volunteers! A new tea rota covering January to July 2024 is now available for collection from the kitchen.
Bookshelf Christmas holiday reading: There are two murder mystery books on offer for the Christmas holidays. ‘A song for the Dark Times’ which is an Inspector Rebus novel by Ian Rankin and ‘Clouds of Witness’ which is a Lord Peter Wimsey mystery by Dorothy L Sayers. Both books are on top of the bookshelf. Please feel free to pass the books on or return them to the bookshelf when read.
Church of Scotland Stamp Appeal: Please save the stamps from your Christmas cards and pop them into the box on the table in the church vestibule. They will be taken to the Presbytery office and uplifted from there for the 2023/24 Stamp Appeal. Thank you!
