There will be a Retiring Offering in aid of the Lodging House Mission as you leave the Church after the Service.

Darren – Darren is preaching as sole nominee this morning for the congregation of Old Machar in Aberdeen. We pray that he will discern the leading of the Holy Spirit as he prepares and then leads the people of Old Machar in worship.

The Guild will resume on Monday 3rd October at the usual time of 2.00pm.   Meetings will be fortnightly on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.   At our first meeting the speakers will be two ladies from the Rutherglen Community Carers.   We look forward to welcoming our regulars as well as anyone wishing to come along to any or all of our meetings.

Tuesday Worship Service will be held each Tuesday.   We have a short time of worship in the church from 11.45am – 12.15pm.   This Tuesday we will be having our Heavenly Elevenses – that is Coffee & Cake from 11.15am.   A warm welcome is extended to all.

The Neighbourly resumes on Wednesday 5th October at 2.15pm in the small hall. Our opening meeting is a much delayed celebration of the 75th anniversary of VE Day, with afternoon tea and music of the era from singer Kirsty Duncan.   Everyone will be very welcome – please come and give our singer a good audience even if you can’t come every week.

The Country Dance Club will re-open on Thursday evening in the Kirkhill Halls at 7.30.pm. A warm welcome is extended to all.

Walking Group, the next Saturday walk is on the 8th of October. This walk is the first section of the Rob Roy Way, Drymen to Aberfoyle a distance of 10.5 miles. Whilst this is quite a long walk there are no big hills on the route and the path is good. Those intending to go should meet outside the Church at 8.30am, travel will be in shared cars.

Church Family Ceilidh is being held in the halls on Saturday 22nd October from 7.00pm – 10.00pm.

Tickets are priced at£8.00 Adult, £4.00 Child. Family Ticket £20.00 which includes two adults and two children.

Arts and Crafts exhibition 28th October 2022

I hope you have all been busy with your paint brushes, knitting needles etc over the summer break preparing some exhibits for our art and crafts exhibition which will be held in the hall. Remember there will be prizes for all ages, from the youngest to the more senior exhibitors.

All work of arts and crafts can be submitted. Let’s show the general public just what talented people we have in our church.

The Fellowship Team invite all members of the congregation to “Cinderella” the pantomime performed by Theatre South Productions in our church hall on Saturday 26th November 2022 at 3.00pm. Tickets cost £10. And include tea/coffee and mince pies (juice and crips for the children) after the show. There may also be a visit from a very special VIP!  A sign-up sheet will be available in the Welcome Area from next Sunday 9th October and will be open until 30th October 2022. We look forward to you joining us, oh yes we do!
