 Church Family News

Next week our summer services begin.  The services will be slightly shorter in length and will follow a theme which will be enjoyable for all age groups.

The Rev. Hilary McDougall will be installed on Tuesday 21st June 2022 as Moderator of the Glasgow Presbytery.   The Installation will take place at Orchardhill Parish Church at 7pm.   Anyone wishing transport please give your name to our Session Clerk – Scott Hamilton

On Sunday 3rd July, 2022 following the Morning Service a Light Lunch will be served to celebrate Hilary’s Installation as the new Moderator.

A very warm welcome is extended to all.

Holiday club: Our Holiday Club will run between the 1st-5th August, 10-12 noon. Registration is now open for those going into P1 in August and presently in p7.  Please speak to Jeanette Alexander or Karen Hamilton for information.

The theme for our Holiday Club is ‘Wastewatchers’ and we will be thinking about recycling. If you can save your small plastic juice or water bottles & bits of wool, that would be really helpful. There is a box in the welcome area to put them in. Thank you for your help.

Meet & 2 veg A new Kirk Session project called ‘Meet & 2 veg’ is up and running on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 9.15-10pm.  This enables surplus food from supermarkets to be distributed free of charge, from the church building to anyone in our community.

We are looking for volunteers to help collect items from Greggs in Western Rd and Tesco in Hamilton Rd  between 8 15 – 8 45 pm and bring to the church building. If you can help, please contact Jan Ritchie  0141 583 2018.

The Prayer Tree is situated inside the main door entrance, for anyone in the community who wishes to add a prayer to it.

‘Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.’  Jeremiah 29 v12

Hilary will be delighted to receive news/intimations for the Order of Service.  Please send them to moc.liamgnull@llaguodcmnyralih    0141 641 8574
