Having put in place arrangements to allow our sanctuary to open for worship, the Back to Church Group has now turned its attention to the re- opening of our halls.
The over-riding principle in our considerations is of course the safety of those using the halls.
To this extent therefor it has been agreed to start the process of re- opening at the Kirkhill Halls.
During the week these are currently used solely by the High Flyers After school group (As deemed necessary by The Care Commission). The halls currently are not in use over the weekend.
We have agreed that allowing these halls to be used on a Saturday is a safe and practical starting point as it allows sufficient time for adequate cleaning between the High Flyers vacating on a Friday evening, a group meeting on a Saturday afternoon, and the High Flyers returning on a Monday morning.
We have therefor agreed a let with the Valda Hunter School of Dance on a Saturday afternoon between noon and four pm commencing on 31/10/20.
We will shortly be putting in place arrangements applying similar criteria to allow a limited, safe re- opening and use of the halls at Arnott Way.
We shall continue to keep the congregation and hall users informed of developments.
All the above is subject to change as Government Guidelines dictate.
