The Cambuslang Parish Church Pipe band started as a chanter class in 2010 and became a Pipe Band in 2016 under the under the auspices of the Kirk Session.
The aim of the Pipe Band is to provide a safe and friendly place for people of any age to learn to play the Great Highland Bagpipe.
All ages are welcome from 8 to 98! Instruments and uniform are provided free and tuition is also free, making the opportunity to be part of the Pipe Band, available to anyone in our community.
The Band currently has 14 members at various stages of ability and we have a small Drum Core which is being developed. We are looking for a Drum teacher!
We are self financing by fund raising by playing at local events and recently we played for ‘Rutherglen 900’ and ‘Landemar Day’ in Rutherglen.
