Call to worship

Leader: We gather as people who are thirsty— longing for meaning, for hope, and for God’s presence in our lives.

People: Lord, give us your living water, that we may never thirst again.

Leader: Jesus meets us in the everyday places of our lives, knowing our stories, and loving us with compassion that does not let us go.

People: We open our hearts to our God who knows us and invites us into new and abundant life.

Leader: Like the woman at the well, we dare to lay down what once defined us and rise to share the good news we have found.

People: We proclaim with joy: Jesus is the Saviour of the world!

All: Come, let us worship the God who quenches our deepest thirst, renews our weary spirits, and sends us out with hope and joy.

HYMN: MP 1141 You’re the Word of God the Father

You’re the Word of God the Father
From before the world began
Every star and every planet
Has been fashioned by Your hand
All creation holds together
By the power of Your voice
Let the skies declare Your glory
Let the land and seas rejoice

You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands

Yet You left the gaze of angels
Came to seek and save the lost
And exchanged the joy of heaven
For the anguish of the cross

With a prayer You fed the hungry
With a word You calmed the sea
Yet how silently You suffered
That the guilty may go free

You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands

With a shout You rose victorious
Wresting vict’ry from the grave
And ascended into heaven
Leading captives in Your way
Now You stand before the Father
Interceding for Your own
From each tribe and tongue and nation
You are leading sinners home

You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands
You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands

the love and teachings of Jesus Christ

in our worship and community involvement.

We affirm the dignity of all people

through compassion and kindness.

Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!
