Leader:
We gather before God, the Alpha and the Omega.

Leader:
In every ending and every new beginning, God is present.

HYMN MP 1141 You’re the Word of God the Father
You’re the Word of God the Father
From before the world began
Every star and every planet
Has been fashioned by Your hand
All creation holds together
By the power of Your voice
Let the skies declare Your glory
Let the land and seas rejoice
You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands
Yet You left the gaze of angels
Came to seek and save the lost
And exchanged the joy of heaven
For the anguish of the cross
With a prayer You fed the hungry
With a word You calmed the sea
Yet how silently You suffered
That the guilty may go free
You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands
With a shout You rose victorious
Wresting vict’ry from the grave
And ascended into heaven
Leading captives in Your way
Now You stand before the Father
Interceding for Your own
From each tribe and tongue and nation
You are leading sinners home
You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands
You’re the author of creation
You’re the Lord of everyone
And Your cry of love rings out
Across the lands

Our mission statement;
We are a warm and welcoming church
who seek to help all people experience and share
the love and teachings of Jesus Christ
in our worship and community involvement.
We affirm the dignity of all people
through compassion and kindness.
Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!
Bethlehem Romanian Pentecostal Church at CPC: We are looking for keyholders to volunteer to open and close the building on Sunday afternoons over the next few months while the former Baptist church is renovated. Opening between 2.30-2.45 and closing at 6pm. There is a sign up sheet in the welcome area for volunteers. Thanks in advance.
Celebration of the Neighbourly: Today during worship, we will be marking the end of the Neighbourly Group which had its beginnings in Trinity Church in Cambuslang in 1907. After worship there will be refreshments in the Large Hall, including home baking, and we hope that as many folks as possible will be able to come along. Please note that while we are able to cater for gluten free diets, we do not have capacity to cater for other dietary requirements.
Kirk Session: Please note the next Kirk Session meeting will take place on Tuesday 27th January in the Morrison Room at 7.30pm.
Bible Blethers: We resume on Wednesday 28th January at 10am in the Morriston Room when we’ll watch the film “Chocolat” which is the inspiration for our Lent course “Christ and the Chocolaterie.” Future dates to follow. Anyone wishing to join us will be made most welcome.
Cambuslang and Rutherglen Reachout Trust are participating in SU Day of Prayer on Wednesday 28th January 2026. Members of the congregation are invited to join them in a Prayer Walk, to pray for the community and stopping at some of the schools they serve. They will leave Cambuslang Parish Church at 12:30 and finish at 2:30 pm.
Discovery Group ‘Believing and Belonging’
Another series of ‘Believing and Belonging’ meetings, following the same topics and material as recent courses, will be commencing in January.
These meetings are for those interested in exploring the basics of the faith, or considering baptism, confirmation, or ‘church membership’, or wanting to discover more about God and the Christian Life, or wanting to ‘refresh’ what they believe, or if you are simply a bit curious about the Christian Faith and following Jesus.
These meetings will be on Thursday evenings at 7.00pm in the Morriston Room beginning on 15th January (and ending on 12th February).
For more information speak to, email, or phone David Denniston. (DDenniston@churchofscotland.org.uk; 07903 926727)
Prayer Tree: The congregational Prayer Tree is available in the Welcome Area, along with tags on which names can be written of any for whom prayers are sought. Names on the Prayer Tree will normally be included by the Ministry Team in prayers offered in worship at the Sunday Service and Tuesday Service following. It is the normal practice of the Ministry Team to include first names only to help preserve appropriate anonymity. Prayer requests are removed from the tree after an appropriate time. If you wish a name to be remembered thereafter then please place a further tag on the tree. Thank you.
Halls Convenor: please send any enquiries about hall bookings etc to our Halls Convenor Derek Burns: derekburnscpc@gmail.com
Ohna Robertson will be delighted to receive your announcements for inclusion in the Order of Service by Wednesday at 12 noon: ohna.robertson@ntlworld.com
