The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
HYMN 644 O Jesus I have Promised
Benediction

Our mission statement:
We are a warm and welcoming church
who seek to help all people experience and share
the love and teachings of Jesus Christ
in our worship and community involvement.
We affirm the dignity of all people
through compassion and kindness.
Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!
Poppies and poppy crosses will be available on 2nd and 9th November 2025 in the welcome area. Donations will go to ‘Poppy Scotland’.
Coffee Morning & Chatty Space at Cambuslang Parish Church: Come along for a relaxed Coffee Morning and Chatty Space at Cambuslang Parish Church. Enjoy a warm cuppa, delicious refreshments, and friendly company — everyone is welcome! This is an important event within our Interim Ministry period and this particular Chatty Space will provide you with an opportunity to share your thoughts on communication matters within our church family and beyond. Hilary would love to hear your ideas on how we can keep everyone better connected and informed.

Singing and Making Music
We are planning some special musical items for one of the Sundays leading up to Christmas and we would love it if anyone who can play a musical instrument (even a bit!) could be part of that, and if folks would be willing to be part of a singing group for that service. You do not need to have a wonderful voice, and you certainly do not need to read music to join this! Have a word with one of the Ministers or with Tim, if you are interested.
Discovery Group ‘Believing and Belonging’
Our recent Discovery Group (attended by those Professing Faith in our service this morning) has now ended.
However, another series of these ‘Believing and Belonging’ meetings, following the same topics and material, will be held in January and February on Thursday evenings at 7pm commencing Thursday 8 January.
These meetings are for those interested in exploring the basics of the faith, or considering baptism, confirmation, or ‘church membership’, or wanting to discover more about God and the Christian Life, or wanting to ‘refresh’ what they believe, or if you are simply a bit curious.
For more information speak to, email, or phone David Denniston. (DDenniston@churchofscotland.org.uk; 07903 926727).
