Call to worship
Leader:
Today, we gather not because we have it all together,
but because we are invited.
All:
We come just as we are—seeking hope, grace, and belonging.
Leader:
No matter how long we’ve been away,
no matter what our journey has looked like—
All:
We are welcomed. We are loved. We belong.
Leader:
So come, all who are weary.
Come, all who are hopeful.
Come, all who are unsure.
All:
We come to worship the God who calls us home
.

SONG: Rise and Shine and give God the glory
The Lord told Noah, there’s gonna be a floody, floody.
Lord told Noah, there’s gonna be a floody, floody.
Get those animals out of the muddy, muddy,
children of the Lord.
Refrain:
So rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory.
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory.
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory,
children of the Lord.
2. The Lord told Noah to build him an arky, arky.
Lord told Noah to build him an arky, arky.
Build it out of gopher barky, barky,
children of the Lord. (Refrain)
3. The animals, the animals, they came in by twosies, twosies.
Animals, the animals, they came in by twosies, twosies,
elephants and kangaroosies, roosies,
children of the Lord. (Refrain)
4. It rained and poured for forty daysies, daysies.
Rained and poured for forty daysies, daysies.
Almost drove those animals crazies, crazies,
children of the Lord. (Refrain)
5. The sun came out and dried up the landy, landy.
(Look, there’s the sun!) It dried up the landy, landy.
Everything was fine and dandy, dandy,
children of the Lord. (Refrain)

HYMN: MP 1151 Amazing Grace [my chains are gone]
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
[Chorus]
My chains are gone, I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
[Chorus]
My chains are gone, I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God who called me here below
Will be forever mine
The offering is brought forward and the Sunday Club return
Celebrations and news
Prayers of dedication, thanksgiving and Lord’s prayer
Final sharing

Our Mission Statement:
We are a warm and welcoming church
who seek to help all people experience and share
the love and teachings of Jesus Christ
in our worship and community involvement.
We affirm the dignity of all people
through compassion and kindness.
Our offerings help support the mission and work of our church and we are grateful to all those who give financially Sunday by Sunday. Many people give by standing order but there is also the option to give via the offering plate in the vestibule area of the church, immediately before entering or leaving the sanctuary. You can pop your offering in the plate either before or after the service. Thank you!
Bethlehem Romanian Pentecostal Church at CPC: We are looking for keyholders to volunteer to open and close the building on Sunday afternoons over the next few months while the former Baptist church is renovated. Opening between 2.30-2.45 and closing at 6pm. There is a signup sheet in the welcome area for volunteers. Thanks in advance.
Bible Blethers: Our next meeting is on Wednesday, 11th February at 10am in the Morriston Room. With the season of Lent almost upon us, we commence our Lenten study “Christ and the Chocolaterie.” All are welcome.
The ‘Churches Group’ Men’s breakfast, second Saturday of each month, is at Wetherspoons on Saturday 14th February at 8.30-8:45. No booking, just turn up, put your order in, pay for your own and enjoy the company.
Foodbank: A big thank you to everyone who supports the Foodbank by donating. The items most needed this month are: Sugar, Jam, Tinned Tomatoes, Tinned Fruit, Macaroni Cheese, Meat & Beans, Tinned Fish, Tinned Meat, Dried Rice, UHT Milk.
Recycling Unwanted Spectacles: The church has collected unwanted spectacles for a number of years, originally organised I think by Isabel Crinean. At present the box on the vestibule table is full, and I would like to suggest we send them all to the Lion Clubs Recycling for Sight Appeal. They sort, grade and reuse unwanted glasses, sending them to many countries overseas. Further details of their work can be found at https://lionsrecycling.co.uk/. There are several opticians in Glasgow who act as collecting centres and I would be happy to deliver any glasses we have to them. I hope this meets with everyone’s approval.
Alison Thomson.
Prayer Tree: The congregational Prayer Tree is available in the Welcome Area, along with tags on which names can be written of any for whom prayers are sought. Names on the Prayer Tree will normally be included by the Ministry Team in prayers offered in worship at the Sunday Service and Tuesday Service following. It is the normal practice of the Ministry Team to include first names only to help preserve appropriate anonymity. Prayer requests are removed from the tree after an appropriate time. If you wish a name to be remembered thereafter then please place a further tag on the tree. Thank you.

THE REAL EASTER EGG CAMPAIGN
Fifteen years ago, David Marshal, founder and CEO of Meaningful Chocolate came up with the idea of The Real Easter Egg – it was called “Real” because it did three things: included a copy of the Easter Story and supported Fairtrade and charitable projects.
The Real Easter Egg is NOT on sale in supermarkets.
A few years ago we supported this by asking our church family to consider buying The Real Easter Egg and we are offering you the opportunity to do so again this year.
The 2026 Original Real Easter Egg includes a new 24 page Easter Story activity book.
Posters showing the range, prices and order forms will be available in the vestibule and the large hall before and after the morning service from this Sunday 1st February until Sunday 1st March. The order will be sent on Tuesday 3rd March.
Please speak to me if you wish further information. Payment will be required no later than Sunday 1st March.
Thank You.
Susan Young
