Walking Group: Our next walk will take place on Saturday 2nd August, and the destination is Coulter. The walk takes the Group past Nisbet Farm then along the side of White Hill. At this point there is the option to climb up White Hill, walk along the Ridge then descend down. The alternative is to walk round the other side of White Hill where everyone should meet up again. The walk is 6 / 6-5 miles and could be a bit muddy in places. Those interested in going should meet outside the Church at 8:30 am, travel will be in shared cars.
Holiday Club: Our holiday club on 5th and 6th August at Flemington Hallside Church was fully booked within hours of it going online. HELP NEEDED: What we REALLY need is people to help in various roles. If you can help, please speak to Karen Hamilton or Susan Young. We need to know this ASAP as if you are not Disclosed, we will need to do that quickly.
Glasgow Presbytery have announced there will be an ‘Exhibition of Knitted and Crocheted Blankets’ at The 1873 Hall, The Briggait, 141 Bridgegate, Glasgow G1 5HZ on August 11-14, 2025, 9am -5pm. All are welcome.
Lorna Morrison has received a letter of thanks for our contribution of blankets. It is posted, for all to read on the noticeboard next to the kitchen.
Service of Introduction: The Service of Introduction for Hilary and David as Interim Ministers will take place on Thursday 14 August at 7.00pm. The service will be conducted by the Presbytery. All are very warmly encouraged to attend. Refreshments etc will follow this service.
Elders’ Lunch and Conference: Elders are reminded of the lunch and conference to be held following Morning Worship on Sunday 17 August. Email intimation of this event has been sent to all elders. Those yet to respond indicating whether or not they are able to attend are asked to reply to David Denniston as soon as possible. Thank you.
The Millenium Banner: At one of our Guild meetings we will feature a small exhibition about the making of the Banner. This is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its completion and dedication. The exhibition will not take place until the 17th of November. In the meantime we would value any mementoes and samplers anyone has of their involvement in its completion. Nearer the time we will invite the participants to join the Guild members for coffee and cake. This of course will be open to everyone in the congregation. Please contact me, Helen Nisbet, via Phone 0141 643 9063 or Email nisbetj1@btinternet.com
